Food Labels
Do you read the labels on the food you buy?
Are you really reading those labels on the food you are buying or 'kind of'?
Many people are making the mistake of glancing at the calories and carbs listed and stop there.
There is a lot more you need to look for than you think!
FDA regulations require nutrition information to appear on packaging for most prepared foods, such as breads, cereals, canned and frozen foods, snacks, desserts, and drinks. Nutrition labeling for raw produce (fruits and vegetables) and fish is voluntary.
In order to ensure that the food being consumed has some nutritional value you need to read the
entire food label not just the calorie part!
So how well do you know your food labels?
